I finished my degree in Computer Systems Engineering at IPCA, in Barcelos, in 2026. Since 2023 I have also worked full-time as a security officer, so the coursework, the projects and the internship all had to fit around shifts.
During my internship at Ediprinter (February to June 2025) I built an observability platform with the Elastic Stack for EDIGCIA, the company's management software for vehicle inspection centres: structured logging with Serilog, dashboards and alerts in Kibana, and performance monitoring with Elastic APM. It taught me to think about what happens after a deploy — what is recorded, who gets alerted, and with what context.
Football came first. I played for 14 years as a goalkeeper, which is probably why my first football data project was a goalkeeper scouting platform built from StatsBomb event data. Later I started writing player reports from video. Both ran into the same problem: a number without its sample, its context and the footage behind it says very little. Claim-to-Evidence came out of that — a way to test each statement in a scouting report against data and my own video coding, with the rules written down before looking at the data.
I'm looking for a first role as a backend developer, or one where software development supports football analysis and recruitment. Either way, I want to work with people who take the quality of data and code seriously.
